Hannes Zacharias - County ManagerWelcome to recovery.jocogov.org, a website designed to inform citizens about dollars received by Johnson County Government from the American Economic Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).  This website is designed to provide transparency and accountability about stimulus funding Johnson County receives. 

As we continue to receive information about funding awards and opportunities, this website will be updated to reflect the dollars Johnson County has received.  Citizens can access information that is updated nightly about how ARRA funding is being spent by Johnson County.  The website also provides links to Federal and State websites to provide you with easy access to information about the overall ARRA stimulus package.

Award News & Updates

  • $10.5 million in ARRA Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery (TIGER) funding.
  • $843,000 awarded to the Johnson County Community Development Block Grant program.
  • The County's Corrections Department received a $49,562 ARRA Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant through the Kansas Criminal Justice Coordinating Council.
  • Johnson County's 10th Judicial Court received a $41,655 ARRA S.T.O.P. Violence Against Women Act grant through the Governor's Office of the State of Kansas.
  • Environmental Department awarded $1 million to reduce diesel emissions from vehicles through equipment retrofits, replacements or engine upgrades.
